What your future may hold
As CEO, you will be responsible for:
- Drafting and developing the long-term strategy and vision of the organisation in close cooperation with the Board of Directors and based on a strong understanding and thorough analysis of the sector.
- The daily management of the association and implementation of the strategy based on a set of predefined KPIs and qualitative objectives. You further develop BVVM/UPCA into a professional organisation in which relevance plays a prominent role.
- Building a strong network of relationships with the various actors within and outside the industry and seek strategic partnerships where appropriate. You are at the basis of a renewed eco-system in which a higher goal, the interests of the industry in the broad sense, is pursued.
- Coaching and leadership: you motivate, guide and steer the team where necessary.
- As ambassador of the association, you communicate effectively the renewed and refreshed strategy and best practices to both members and key stakeholders.
- You are pragmatic and maintain privileged contacts with both the Belgian regulator and other professional associations.
- Formulating structural improvement proposals and policy recommendations based on practical experience and trends in the market.
- Cultivating relationships with member organisations, establishing pathways for engagement.
- The CEO will report to the cor leadership of BVVM/UPCA and work in close interaction with the Board and the Executive Committee to fulfil the association’s mission and strategic goals.
- Assisting the Treasurer in budget preparation and monitoring during the year.
Your skillset
- You have a Master working and thinking level and already have relevant experience in a senior management position, preferably in the services, consulting, financial and/or insurance sector.
- As a bridge-builder, you seek to bring structure to a highly fragmented landscape.
- You are an inspiring leader with strong people management skills.
- You are hands-on and show the spirit of an entrepreneur.
- A collaborative decision-making style and ability to engage participation from all levels.
- Business acumen and financial management experience.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Technologically adapt, including an appreciation for social media.
- You have strong communication skills and are fluent both orally and in writing in Dutch, French and English.
