The corona pandemic forced many companies into introducing telework.
Afterwards, hybrid working became the new normal due to the positive influence it has on overall employee satisfaction and well-being, including a better work-life balance. At the same time, several companies are taking steps to encourage regular attendance at the office by installing coffee corners, ‘office pods’ or a gym. By doing so, they are trying to build and maintain the connection.
But now, with the price of electricity skyrocketing, employees seem more willing to come to the office. And some companies take measures considering the higher costs associated with a possible massive return to the workplace. Forcing employees to return to the office would be unbeneficial for them as well.
Regardless of what the coming months have in store for us, hybrid working is here to stay. Companies will need to adapt constantly and will have to keep reinventing themselves to make hybrid working attractive.
