Tree planting campaigns with Go Forest
Go Forest, a CO2logic partner, aims to get ordinary people and businesses to not only think but also act future-oriented. Planting trees should not be a trend but should become the norm. Their climate project experts select and monitor the best projects worldwide. We purchased 1,200 trees in late 2021 to be planted in the Peruvian Amazon. That’s where they'll have the most positive effect on biodiversity, carbon sink, employment, livelihoods, and the local economy. And since 2022, we’ve been also investing in tree purchases that we associate with every YouConnect client-candidate match. Find out more about the Peruvian & Belgian project on this platform.
Public transport
Right from the start, YouConnect has made the office locations a priority. All our offices are a breeze to reach with public transport, and we’re not shy about encouraging its use. What's more, all of our staff are given a Brompton folding bike.
Sustainability officer
One of our staff, Sharon, is also YouConnect's Sustainability Officer. Her job is to monitor our environmental footprint. In addition to things like a smart thermostat, eco-friendly cleaning products, and the pursuit of a zero paper policy, Sharon is allocated a budget that we use every year to meet special goals (e.g. Go Forest). She has also launched VeggieThursday, which the whole team is enthusiastic about.
