The question is: how can we, as a recruitment agency, use our expertise to make a difference? And how do we make that difference not just by supporting current growth and employment-related initiatives, but by coming up with and launching initiatives of our own?

A Seat at The Table

Every year, YouConnect co-hosts a workshop with A Seat at the Table (ASATT). ASATT is a mentoring, leadership, and entrepreneurship programme for students and young professionals. YouConnect contributes to the workshop by sharing choice tips on how to launch a successful career.

connecting for a job

Every academic year, our Recruitment Consultants commit to coaching a selection of Belgian university students and alumni towards finding their first job. Specifically, every Recruitment Consultant 'adopts’ a student or alumnus. In one-to-one workshops, they share tips on drafting a stellar CV and run through practice job interviews to make sure they’re all set for the real thing. And if we see a potential match, we also help students and alumni connect with prospective employers.

Our first edition kicked off in early 2021 and was a resounding success. Various universities put us in touch with six students for coaching. After the project wound up, we got rave reviews from the universities and the new graduates.
