Liedekerke is currently looking for a Midlevel Associate with at least 3 years of experience to strengthen its Banking & Finance team based in Brussels.

What your future may hold
As a midlevel Associate Banking & Finance, you will be involved in a broad range of Banking & Finance transactions matters for a varied client base. Your tasks will include drafting, reviewing and negotiating deal documentation, engaging with clients and their counterparts, and managing matters from inception to closing. You will also be involved in the training of juniors.
You will have the opportunity to support corporate borrowers, private equity sponsors, real estate developers, financial institutions, funds, and alternative lenders with diverse financing needs. From acquisition and real estate finance to project and general corporate lending, together with your expert team you will offer pragmatic advice to secure successful deals in Belgium and globally.
You will be part of one of the largest Corporate & Finance departments in Belgium. By seamlessly combining their expertise and knowledge, Liedekerke’s attorneys are able to quickly address their clients’ needs in corporate and finance matters, whether these arise in Belgium or abroad. For cross-border transactions, you will work on a daily basis with top-tier foreign law firms.
Your skillset
- You have 3 years or more of experience within a top Belgian or international law firm in Banking & Finance matters.
- You hold a Belgian Master’s in Law with good university grades. An additional education abroad or an LLM in Banking & Finance law is a plus.
- Excellent knowledge of French or Dutch and English is essential, paired with good proficiency in the other national language.
- You have excellent organisational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- You are a flexible, down-to-earth and motivated team-player who can also work autonomously.
- You have a hands-on mentality and are ready to take initiative.
- You are eager to take on challenges, with a commitment to delivering high-quality services.
- You have a proactive, client-oriented and solution driven approach with a practical and commercial mindset.
