Compliance & Legal Operations Manager | Lotus Bakeries
Headquartered in Belgium, Lotus Bakeries is a dynamic and internationally oriented company operating in the indulgent and natural snacking segment. Lotus has six facilities worldwide, has 21 own sales organisations in Europe, America and Asia and works with commercial partners in approximately fifty countries worldwide. To strengthen its legal team Lotus Bakeries is looking for a Compliance & Legal Operations Manager with at least 5 years of experience in (legal) project management and fluency in English.

What your future may hold
As Compliance & Legal Operations Manager you will:
- Take a leading role in the set-up and follow-up of projects that improve Lotus’ global compliance program, including topics regarding anti-bribery, fraud, antitrust, data protection & security, ethical standards, governance, whisteblowing,
- Transform identified compliance risks into effective compliance strategies and policies
- Develop training modules and deliver training to local management and employees across all Group entities.
- Develop and put into action a compliance reporting plan for addressing breaches of compliance policies and guidelines.
- As a central Data Protection specialist, your responsibilities include establishing processes and continuously monitoring program outcomes with respect to GDPR.
- Remain up-to-date with international laws, regulations, and guidelines in order to effectively carry out the tasks mentioned, ensuring the compliance framework stays current.
- From a legal operations point of view, you continuously improve the legal functions in the business, leading improvement projects and the implementation of legal technology tools.
Your skillset
- A Master’s degree in Law
- A substantial track record in Compliance within a global context (min. 5 years).
- Strong Project Management skills, enabling you to lead complex Compliance projects involving various internal and external stakeholders and ensuring excellent execution.
- Expertise in data protection and affinity with legal technology tools. Experience with competition law, fraud and ethical business conduct is a plus.
- Well developed interpersonal competences, allowing you to cultivate connections with stakeholders and heighten awareness among your colleagues concerning compliance risks, policies and procedures.
- A proactive and analytical approach, coupled with strong organizational and solution-oriented skills.
- Fluency in English.
